Some prescribers will now use tamoxifen for up to 10 years instead of 5 years...to further reduce the risk of recurrent breast cancer.

Tamoxifen (Nolvadex, etc) is best in PREmenopausal women...and aromatase inhibitors (Arimidex, etc) in POSTmenopausal women.

Aromatase inhibitors aren't effective for premenopausal women...because these women produce too much estrogen.
